Our coffee shops in Stowmarket, Needham Lake, Ipswich and Hadleigh are more than just great places to eat and drink; they’re community hubs with a story.
Cabbages & Kings café has been part of The Mix building since 2015, welcoming visitors with fresh Paddy & Scott’s coffee, other hot and cold drinks and a selection of sweet and savoury bakes on the counter.
Duck & Teapot café opened in 2022 to meet the growing need for a friendly, welcoming café at Needham Lake. Now a favourite stop for walkers, families, and dog owners, it serves everything from sandwiches and smoothies to ice cream (plus pupuccinos for four-legged friends).
The coffee shops in Ipswich and Hadleigh have recently been acquired through a partnership with Paddy & Scott's. This partnership brings together two values-led Suffolk organisations with a shared commitment to community. From 1st April 2026, profits from the two former Paddy & Scott’s Coffee Shops will help fund The Mix’s vital free youth work services for young people across Suffolk.
These have been rebranded to The Mix Coffee Shops and later in 2026, the Stowmarket and Needham Lake cafés will become The Mix Coffee Shops too.
Every sip and every slice helps fund The Mix, a Suffolk-based youth charity supporting local young people with mentoring, education, and life-skills programmes. All coffee shops are run by 127 Trading Ltd, the trading arm, and growing social enterprise offer, of The Mix, Suffolk based youth work charity.

Using Units

Scaling
• On tablet and below, change the body font size to PX or higher VW number
• On desktop, the design will scale up seamlessly. It will stop scaling when it reaches the max width of 1440px.
• There is no need to add larger breakpoints

Drop In runs every week and is a great way of meeting new friends and finding new passions… and it is totally free! Drop In is your space. Whether you want to chill and chat with your friends, play computer games or do something more active or creative, we aim to provide a space for you to just be you. Drop In takes place in our youth hall which has everything you need. There are comfy sofas, games, computers, pool, table tennis, air hockey, and sometimes you can even use our recording studio. Our team of youth workers are there to support you, whether you are in the mood for a quiet bit of nail painting or if you want help arranging a massive game of dodgeball! And if it hasn’t been your day, our team are also trained and equipped to talk you through any issues, questions, challenges or worries you might be facing.

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
