Together We Raised Over £11,000 for Local Young People

What an incredible evening.

On Friday 26th June, guests gathered at The Mix for our first-ever Auction of Promises, bringing together supporters, local businesses and friends of the charity for an evening of generosity, laughter and community.

Thanks to the incredible support of everyone involved, we're delighted to share that the event has raised over £11,000, with even more to come through Gift Aid.

The total was made possible through ticket sales, matched funding on ticket sales, table sponsorship, and the generosity shown throughout both our silent and live auctions. Every bid, every donation and every act of support helped make the evening a tremendous success.

More Than Just a Fundraiser

While we're thrilled by the amount raised, what makes this result so significant is what it will enable us to do.

Across our communities, increasing numbers of young people are facing challenges with their mental health, loneliness, anxiety, confidence, difficult home lives and the pressures of school and everyday life. At the same time, youth services continue to face growing demand.

At The Mix, we see every day how important it is for young people to have somewhere safe to go and trusted adults who will listen, encourage and believe in them.

Since opening our doors in 2013, we've had the privilege of supporting thousands of young people through open-access youth work, mentoring, school partnerships, wellbeing initiatives and inclusive programmes. Much of that impact happens quietly, through conversations, relationships and moments of encouragement that help young people feel known, valued and hopeful about their future.

The money raised through the Auction of Promises will help ensure that this work can continue.

A Community Investing in the Next Generation

One of the most encouraging parts of the evening was seeing so many people choosing to invest in the lives of local young people.

The event was only possible because of the generosity of so many people. We'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, our prize donors, table sponsors, our match fund supporter, everyone who bid so generously, and the staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly before, during and after the event.

Thank you to our sponsors, ABP Ports, Metro Supply Chain, AnyIt, Defib Experts, Classical Toilets, Claims World Intel Ltd, and The Daley’s.

Ever Agile match-funded our ticket sales up to £1,000.

Your support didn't just make for a wonderful evening, it is an investment in young people across Stowmarket and the surrounding area.

Thank You

Friday evening reminded us of something we already knew: The Mix is surrounded by an incredibly generous and supportive community.

To everyone who bought a ticket, donated a prize, sponsored a table, volunteered their time or simply championed the event—thank you. Your generosity will make a lasting difference to the lives of local young people.

Together, you've helped raise more than £11,000 to support youth work at The Mix.

Together, you're helping ensure that more young people have a place where they belong, people who believe in them, and hope for the future.

Thank you.
